Bells Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 There's this man in our social group, apparently he can be the "life of the party", esp. when the alcohol is flowin', right. Personally, I think he can be a bit obnoxious at times......when Security asked us to leave the nightclub (we were still stuck chit chatting). And he told security to "F you", but he did as he told them. Some people thought it was cute, but I was like "ookay"...well, people get that way when their drunk. Then an extreme situation happened, where he was grabbing girls arses in our gathering.....these women aren't strangers to him, but they are indeed acquaintences. Some thought it was funny, other slapped his hands away..and he REALLY ticked off this one woman. esp when he did it in front of her boyfriend. She gave him a good tongue lashing about it...but see, he can get away with it because he's charming and physically attractive. I think I made a sarcastic remark in his direction saying something like "oh, women really LOVE that!" I think he doesn't care for me personally, because of the sarcastic remark I made about him being "Handsy" with the women in the group. Reason I say this is because And perhaps that remark didn't sit well with some of his closer friends. Personally, I would never do what he does, because I act....well....mature. But everyone loves him because he knows how to have fun. But I get the feeling it's one of those situations where I can see through his transparency as oppose to other people who can, and maybe this is the why he doesn't like me? Thing is, this kind of might cause awkwardness because MY friends (the ones I actually get along with.....like him.....whom I don't get along with). Sometimes clicks form as well. Anyone ever been in a situation like this....that your friends like the person you dont' get along well with?
Suiyobi Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Sometimes you gotta be the better man. Let the guy be; he's not really your friend anyway. But keep a watchful eye when he's around you, though, just incase he does something really stupid next time. It'd be up to you to give him an honest-to-God punch in the face. Girls might not understand, but it's our (us guys) way of setting someone straight.
