Vegas Baby Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 THis guy & I work together & he constantly stares or flirts w/me. I do the same back so he gets the hint that I like him. One day he had said he was dating a girl or has a gf. So I was shocked, but he still flirted w/me. The other day he IM'ed me (since we're allowed to at work) & he said he was having drama w/his gf. Later on I told him that I had a fortune cookie that said something about making a move on something you want, told him what it read & he said "better get on it then". after that HINT nothing else happened. So lastnight I wrote as my status on facebook "done with dropping hints" since he is on my friends list, & i'm thinking he read it because he was really quiet today, & I was being quiet too, acting kinda aloof. So later on i IM'ed him telling him i thought he was being quiet, & then he perked up & smiled at me. eeek JUST now I wrote him a msg on facebook, saying "saw 3 is on start watching it! lol" (because i had mentioned to him before that we should see saw 5 but he said he'd have to see the 3 & 4 before he saw 5, but i dunno if he was joking) but he hasn't written back even though i saw him online. Should i be embarrassed? Anyway, what should I do in this situation? Should I just straight out tell him i like him or is that weird? PLEASE HELP!
PrincessPeach Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 All the hints you have been giving him have probably just blown right by him for a couple reasons. First, no one picks up on every hint, especially guys. Second, he already has a romantic interest, so he isn't looking to see if anyone has a romantic interest in him since his relationship causes him not to be in that frame of mind. And a lot of the hints you have been dropping could be considered normal behavior from a friend as well. Don't worry if he doesn't reply to you facebook message, not every message needs a reply, and even if he did see you status it is doubtful he knew what you were talking about. I'd advise going after him myself because I would never go after anyone at work and as a general rule I wouldn't go after a guy who was already taken. If he would leave his girlfriend to get with you, then in the future he might leave you for another girl. But there is no need to be embarassed, you haven't done anything wrong or to be embarassed about.
