Its me again! ;)

So, I think Ive pulled/torn my bicep! Its very sore and painful.

How do I know the difference between a pulled muscle and a torn muscle?

Obviously, I know I need to rest it for a few days, but does anyone know any other treatments?

pulled and torn are the same, except torn is a worse tear than pulled, which is smaller tears.

the best treatment is RICE... Rest Ice Compression Elevation...... i would stick to the RI part.

an anti inflammatory would also help ease some discomfort and swelling.

i pulled my bicep/ tricep area one time, it hurt sooo bad. i did it while i was at work, so i took advantage of my workmans comp. and went to the doctor, basically they said let it rest, it will take a while (could be up to 2-3 months before no pain at all), and they gave me a sling.

it does take soem time before the burning stops, and then it just diminishes over time.

Thanks for the quick responses guys!

No, there's no bruising or any other markings. It was just very painful when I woke up this morning, after using it all day long though, the pain has lessened.

It doesnt really hurt unless I move it in one specific way, across my chest, as if I were going to touch my right hand to my left shoulder. Thats the only movement that is causing me any discomfort. but it kiiiiiiiills!

Im definately not going to lay off it for a couple days. No bicep work at the gym today, but I certainley hope it doesnt take 2-3 months!!! Eeeep!
