nakedfrijoles Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 ok so i just got a new restaurant job and theres this really pretty girl working there. So the first day i notice her kinda glancing at me, etc..at the end of the day i get something to eat, while im sitting there shes washing a window right next to me, i jokingly say,"Man, you sprayed that in my food"..then say jk and laugh..she kinda giggles and repeats "just kidding" ..thats about it, so the second day i walk near her and she asks me my name and if im new. I say my name and yeah, im new. She gives me her name. Thats it. Sooo the day goes on, she is still glancing at me and acting kinda shy. Finally at the end of the day im about to leave, so i grab something to eat, and sit down at the bar. she get some food and sits almost right next to me, bear in mind me and her are almost completely alone, so she says wuts up, blah blah, a bunch of basic questions, she seems interested in exactly where i live, i mean the questions dont really do justice, but the way she was talking seemed kinda shyish, and almost like she was uncomfortable, the wierd part was that she hardly looked at me directly, there was a big mirror in front of us that she was lookign at alot, so maybe she was lookin at me through the mirror idk.. the thing that isnt too clear to me is this...People migt say shes not interested in me beause she didnt look at me hardly at all, BUT if she wasnt interested then why would she sit next to me, by ourselves nd start asking me all these questions...lol, AND THEN people might say shes just a outgoing nice person, BUT she hardly talked to anyone all day except me, and why would a nice outgoing person not make alot of eye contact? and act finicky? so i leave, and she leaves right behind me and says bye as im gettin in my car. so, what the heck is going on? any help and advice would be greatly appreciated:cool:
PrincessPeach Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I know sometimes I've found myself sort of avoiding eye contact with a guy I like because I'm a little nervous I guess I'm kind of shy, but I'll still talk a lot. I think eye contact is a bad judge of attraction... some people often and regularly make eye contact with people they find attractive and others seem to avoid it more with the people they are attracted to. Just depends from person to person and the situation. try not to averanalyze things, we tend to do that a lot when thinking about someone we like. Just show her that you like her and/or ask her to hang out with you sometime after work or on a day you both have off. If she knows you are attracted to her, maybe she will be too and return some affection. Also maybe she doesn't like you yet, but if you get to know her a bit and show her that you might be interested in her romantically she might start to like you in that way too even if she didn't at first.
