LadyLumps Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 My LDR is only 22 days old. We met on myspace. Can you believe it? I'm not even a myspace person, I use it to keep in touch with my old navy buddies. Anywho, one night I was strolling through my friends list and came across this amazingly handsome guy. I think it was the millions of tattoos that fascinated me. I sent him a message complimenting how sexy he was with all those tattoos. We went back and forth for a few days, something I've never done before. There was a sense of anticipation, I don't know why. We exchanged numbers and that same day he sent me a text, giving me his number. When I finally called him that night, we were on the phone for close to five hours. The date was Oct. 15, 2008. Every night after that we were constantly on the phone. On Oct. 19, after ending a 3 hour phone call with him, I sent a text confessing to him that I look at his pictures (the ones he sent me, not the myspace pics) every night before I go to sleep. He told me that he does the same thing and that he's falling in love with me. I expressed to him that it's okay because I feel the same way. So we made it official that night. I live in FL and he lives in Ga. We're not even 3 hours away from each other. But he's a truck driver and he's never in Ga. A week and a half after talking on the phone non-stop, we finally met. It was like a fairy tale, we're extremely compatible and he's excessively handsome. We stayed together for 3 days and just enjoyed each others company. I didn't know stuff like this actually happens, let alone to me. He came back the following week only for a couple of hours but I take what I can get. He's suppose to be coming back this week but his boss is giving him a hard time because he's an a**hole. I just can't wait to see my boo again. We're on the phone constantly and I just get a rush of butterflies everytime he tells me how much he loves me and how much he misses me. I'm just so extactic, I needed to share. I also wanted to see how others cope with thier LDRs. I know it can be hard but as long as the love is strong, nothing should stop you from being together.
DunnoWhat Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Congratulations! The way I see LTR's is that it is a challenge sometimes but if 2 people like each other it should not be that hard to wait.

You have a lot of reading to do if you want to go through them! lol Coping with an LDR is tough sometimes. All of us get through in our own way I guess but there are certainly threads about that too. You are right about the bolded sentence above. That is the truth!
