SelfCentered Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Since day one of my breakup, I've had this constant thought in the back of my head that I would begin to feel better about myself and really begin to put my current life into perspective if I went and helped people out in some way that are much more worse off than me. The only thing I've done is raised money for the Red Cross during my univeristies Rag Week, but I feel like doing some more. Is this a usual post-breakup feeling? Also, has anyone been down this road themselves? I'd like to start helping people in some way but there's so much I could do and I don't know where to start!

Volunteering is a good way to help others, as well as to keep yourself busy and distracted. Try a local food bank, or shelter, or maybe a cancer society or some other charity.
