Dexter Morgan Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Even though my ex and I share alot of humor in the topic of sex' date=' I assure you our relationship is not sexual[/quote'] Then you'll have no problem ditching the sex photos. - sure, we can hug each other and tell we love one another (again, we've been through ALOT together) but I don't want to cross that border. As you shouldn't, because I guarantee you almost any girlfriend wouldn't be ok with that. The pictures are not pornographic - just some makeout and embracing/hugging Well you said "intimate". That usually means sex. Thanks for the clarification. Still, I can see why any girlfriend would be put out by a bf who feels the need to keep make out pictures of an old flame. Its not like prom pictures. - think of a cover picture for a romance movie. I guess I'll have to hide them; ?? earlier you said you were going to throw them away? Here is the solution. If you REALLY don't think it should be an issue or that your gf is overreacting, sit her down and simply tell her, "I love you(if you do), but this is someone special from my past and I want to keep these pictures, if you have a problem with that, then maybe we should part ways". Then see what step she takes next.

I guess I'll have to hide them; they aren't intended for anyone else's eyes but my own. Honestly, romantic pictures are just as jealousy-inducing, albeit in a different way than sex pics. Now, it becomes this 'my endless love' thing...if you don't view your ex in a romantic way, why do you have romantic pics hanging around? Take cheating as an example. Physically cheating just for the sex, is damaging in its own way to the betrayed partner. Emotional cheating involving love and romance and an emotional connection, is equally damaging and painful, but for different reasons. You may find an understanding gf who doesn't mind your very close emotional relationship with your ex, but you'll be looking for a long time before you do.

I agree, but when does looking at old pictures count as cheating? You may find an understanding gf who doesn't mind your very close emotional relationship with your ex, but you'll be looking for a long time before you do. I know.
