daisy84 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Hi, I met my new boyfriend online. I've been taking a few evening classes though. One of my oldest friends came out one night with a bunch of people from my class. One of my classmates walked by and said hi, then my friend said, so you met him online. I thought he meant my classmate but he meant my new boyfriend. I said, "yeah I've met so many people in my class," and realized what he meant only a minute later. I never corrected him though. Now I don't want to have an akward talk about my error, since he really won't care much where I met this guy and it would be weird to call him up to clarify (we're old friends we don't hang out often and talk on the phone never) still I'm sure whenever he meets my boyfriend he'll ask about the class. I'm a big worrier. I'll feel better now if I know what to say if and when the situation ever comes up. If they meet and my friend asks my boyfriend about the class, can I just say, "ooooh back when I said that it was just a mix up, I realized but didn't speak up, we met online." I don't either of these people to think I'm a liar. I know this isn't a big issue! But I worry....
joshaz Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Quit worrying then... It's a non-issue. Learn to be a bit more aloof. Forget about it. When it comes up if you still even remember it go "I did? Whoops..." Life is just one big misunderstanding...
D-Lish Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 I wouldn't worry about it at all... It's no biggie. If your friend brings it up again just tell him you met online and you didn't hear his question properly before. He won't think anything of it.
