This is like being STOOD UP, but it isn't but it might as well be.....

 

Ever met someone online or in person...chatted with them a few times before meeting, make arrangements to meet....they say, "Call me on the day of the date so we can firm up plans."

 

And RIGHT on that time to "firm up plans", you call, they don't answer, when they KNOW they are suppose to answer....why...because he/she knows ya have a BIG DATE, tonight.

 

You wind up leaving 3 or 4 voice mails the night you are both suppose to meet, and they never return you call.

 

That night comes and goes....the next day you receive a text message from the person acting like they felt so bad and apologizes as if they killed your brother (flare for the dramatic there)...and they bait you again and say , "So, how about we meetup up next weekend?"

 

Wash-Rinse-Repeat.

 

Also, how many times do you wash, rinse, repeat, until you "catch on"? lol

 

Esp your first time you experienced this, how many times did you let the "Wash-Rinse-Repeat" occur?

Its possible I suppose, especially if its fast-dating or the hip, cool, sex-in-the city type dating thats popular right now. Its also possible that the dating site is scamming you, making you think you're meeting someone and churning your real opportunity to meet someone.

 

Is this a reputable site? If so, find out if others are having similar experiences with websites that rate dating sites - you may have a legitimate business claim.

 

Dating sites are never as good as real, spontaneous meeting of people with shared interests. Never.

I believe most people that do this are more than well aware of it!

If there is a sincere legitimate "excuse" I'd give them one more chance but I dont give second chances very often not worth the aggrivation imo.
