So, when Obama won, I was quite excited, and I knew my ex must have been too. I desperately wanted to contact her, and missed her greatly. Did anyone else go through this last night?

Kiz, I can see this for sure. Ofcourse, there have been countless other reasons I've wanted to.

My ex isn't interested in politics in the slightest. Hes very apathetic. But... I still wanted to talk to him about it!

I live in Canada right now, and believe me, people are overall VERY happy Obama won here, so theres lots of excitement to share here... but I wanted to share it with a fellow American more than anything. ;p

I did talk to other American friends... but one is a republican and really does not like Obama, at all. lol

Me and my ex always had in friendly debates ( point - counter point) with politics and local goverment. It was so hard not to txt her about the election outcome. Just another reason why i miss her so much....oh well :(

Oh, well, trust in me that we are quite stoked down here... some of us, that is. I imagine there are a few red-staters that are pretty p*ssed off.

I Did, I was proud to be black that night and I've never been proud to be black, Barack Obama made history by becoming the first black president and the first black democrat nominee.

I wanted to call my ex because she lives near Chicago and Indiana so she was were all the fun was but I didnt. I live in GA, which is a very racist state but Barack did pretty good he lost Georgia by 200,000 votes, so he was pretty close, but were still celebrating down here.

Kizik,

It took every once of will power not to send a message to my ex about the election results. It was very important to both of us. Politics, social justice, etc. were topics that we saw through the same lens.

Luckily, I was with friends, so even though I really missed him, I was able to get through it.

Yeah, I had the urge.

We broke up during the long democratic nomination process. She was pro-Hilary and I was pro-Obama. We cut contact while it was still raging.

I did kind of have the urge to text her "see, I told you he could win" after it was announced but then I would have broken 10 months of NC.
