lofi_tokyo Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Theres this girl at my work. One of the bartenders. Shes probably the most optimistic, happiest, most feel-good person you'll ever meet. On top of that, shes a model. Shes gorgeous, friendly, sympathetic, and completely lovable. Customers send in letters all the time saying how amazing she is and how shes going to change the world one smile at a time. Anyways, shes been dating this guy for about the same time my ex and I dated, and our relationships had a lot in common... so all through the time I dated my ex, I would look at hers and put it in comparison. When my ex and I broke up, her relationship with her man was going strong. It was not two days ago that I thought to myself "If I had been more like her, more like living magic, would my ex have stayed?". I don't know what my answer was, but I just assumed she was such a catch he would never leave her. As it turns out, he broke up with her yesterday. I found out today. I have no idea why because we're not really friends so much as co-workers. In any event, I think her ex is going to regret it. She is a real catch. But... I guess it happens to everyone, getting dumped. I knew that already but..... I think I wanted to believe in their fairytale. Mine didn't work out obviously, so I liked being happy for the happiest girl I've ever met. Anyways, just thought I'd share! ;p

Nemo Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I guess it happens to everyone, getting dumped. No - not everyone. It's happened to me, but then I didn't have a plan. When your sweetie says, "we need to talk," one must always jump in quickly with, "there's no point because I'm dumping your sorry arse!" Preemptive strikes are the way to go.
