kashmir Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I'd be more concerned with the why than the who in THIS election. However, it is a complete dealbreaker for me if they voted for Bush in the 2004 election. He fooled you once, shame on him. He fooled you again? You're an idiot. And who are you to have such a holier than thou attitude? It's not like the alternative was much better (if it was even better). As someone said before, while I'm no fan of Bush, I was very disappointed in the Dems in 2004 for nominating Kerry of all people.
Lizzie60 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 It would certainly NOT be a dealbreaker.. each person is entitled to their own ideas.. Let's say he would TELL me to vote for so and so... is he around when I put my 'x' on the ballot.. It's never been an issue really.. my first ex and I had arguments in the past about politics.. but I would tell him to do what he wanted and I would vote for who I wanted.. simple as that..
Cherry Blossom 35 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I live in DC, and people are pretty rabid about their politics here. I have definitely been dumped for my political views. Historically, I have voted more Republican than Democrat. in this election, I am voting for Obama and I think he is the best person for the job right now. But honestly, I vote for the person above all. It seems that people here who are very rabidly liberal, and there are a lot of them, think that if you have any Republican views that you must be the devil incarnate, and obviously stupid. I think it is ridiculous and it makes me very angry.
cutegirl Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I have no interest in politics whatsoever so to be honest I could care less about who someone is voting for or even if they are voting at all. I am not interested in dating (I want to be alone!) but IF I was dating I could care less. I would worry more about if the guy is cheating or bangin hookers on the side then political affiliations.
