kashmir Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 So I'm sitting in my room, in my costume, after wandering the streets for a few hours looking for a party (I'm in college). All I got was stares. I called one girl who I thought was my friend to see if my roommate and I could go to a party with her and her friends. She answered the phone, said hello in a goofy way, I said hey back in a similar way, and then she said, "yeah, bye!" in the background and hung up. I could hear people laughing in the background. I deleted her number. I'm just kinda down now. I thought I had a really good costume, and when I went to a party a week ago a lot of people liked it. Everyone just looked at me strange tonight. I'm pretty creepy, I admit, but since when did Halloween become about NOT being a bit creepy or funny looking? Every other guy I saw out tonight was either a gynecologist or something man-whorish to show off his body. All I wanted to do was go out and have fun at a party, not hook up, but I can't even do that. I can hear everyone out laughing and having fun as I write this. I don't know what to do though. Here's me by the way. If you haven't seen No Country for Old Men, you probably won't get it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v726/Sheo/n1330590025_30025301_7121.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v726/Sheo/Photo3.jpg
BlueHarvest Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I don't know how much things have changed since I was in college (only 6 yrs ago but oh well) but I'm under the impression you don't go "wandering" the streets for parties. You ask friends, room-mates, dorm-mates, acquaintainces about parties they may have been told about. But you don't go LOOKING for a party. Just enjoy halloween for what it is and do your own thing. It's a hallmark holiday for fricks sake and your worried about not being there?
