User Named Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 How do I let my mailman know I'm intereted in him? I don't see him very often. The last time we talked I just couldn't stop smiling at him--and for hours afterward. I was cleaning out my car. He was parked down the street and he drove straight to my house without stopping along the way. It seems like he should have delivered some mail in between. But maybe I was just last on the route? Also, when I was complaining about not receiving a stimulus check, he asked if my ex-husband was still getting mail at my house. He said maybe I could see if he my ex got his check (an indication checks were just late). Could he have been asking about my relationship with my ex or was it a legitimate question? By the way, my ex was and is still receiving mail at my house. Do I have a chance with him? If so, how should I approach him? I assume he thinks my ex is still in the picture. Thanks.
Author User Named Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 I thought about giving him a note with my email address. I could say if he's interested he could email me. That's the cowardly way, I guess, but it would save both of us embarrassement.
Touche Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Yes, excellent idea. You can put it in your box...I mean your mailbox.
Nemo Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Also, when I was complaining about not receiving a stimulus Foreplay is very important. You were right to complain.
JGT Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I know exactly what to do! I've seen movies start this way. Usually a woman is at home and for some reason always in a nightie, the guy (pizza boy, pool boy, plummer, etc.) shows up, they start talking and innuendos are made and the next thing you know they're going at it like rabbits. So get a nightie and make really corny innuendos. (it also seems to help if you both have horrible acting skills) Problem solved. God I'm lonely. lol
joshaz Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 You may want to act sooner rather than later... There are talks about big layoffs at the USPS.
Author User Named Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 Thank you, Josh. As for the rest of you, I'm surprised you didn't mention the mailman's "package."
Trimmer Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Thank you, Josh. As for the rest of you, I'm surprised you didn't mention the mailman's "package." Oh, you SO asked for it... I think if he ever has proposes to deliver a parcel that won't fit in your box, you could just suggest that he bring it around to your back door...
signedin2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 First, you HAVE to make sure he is not married. Second, you have to make sure he is not in a relationship. The first two need to be certain before you making any move on you mailman. I wonder how many mailmen get crushes from their customers.

Tell him you'd like him to personally deliver your "stimulus check"....

fromlonelytogreat Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Make sure that John Stockton isn't around to spoil the party.
cheandyoda Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 send a letter to him with your address on it. than get him busted for reading your mail
mark982 Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 when he delivers your mail, open your door naked!
SoulSearch_CO Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 LOL...you guys are all so helpful. Maybe you could suggest going out for coffee sometime. I'm not a coffee drinker, but would sit at a coffee shop with somebody just to get a feel for whether or not I want to date them. It's not a full-on date, which I think would take the pressure off. Then you'd be able to find out if he's "taken."

reservoirdog1 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 when he delivers your mail, open your door naked! Damn, somebody beat me to it. That would remove the element of uncertainty. No doubt about it.
dannydrifter Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Very easy my dear. Next time he visits, simply invite him in for a coffee. That way you can break the ice, and if there is any chance at this you will have a better idea afterwards. Plus, it allows you to be nice and give him a hint, without coming across as needy or embarrassed (ie. writing letters, etc).
Meet 4 Coffee Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Sorry but everyone else is wrong. If he's interested, he'll make a move. He is keenly aware of your "ex" husband. he called him your ex husband, so he knows you're available. If he's not interested, he won't make a move, and that's that, folks.
Redboxvends Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 It sounds like a bad idea to make a move on the mailman.
