skinman Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I have a question for you all.. how did you fight the urge to contact your wife or SO ? I have been married for close to 15 years together almost 17 and during those times we talked everyday. What i wouldnt give to hear her voice say "honey" or "Rich" one more time. Today has been the 5th day of my separation and 3rd without talking with her. I am weak at this point in the SEP. and cant help but want to contact her.. its breaking my heart and spirit to know that she could care less how I am doing feeling or whether I am alive...

Even go on this loveshack (like me) looking for answers, and still you dont feel any better, Do you ever feel like you go somewhere that you've been countless times before and think "I remember coming here when times were normal". It almost feels like your having an out of body exp. I feel just like you pal. My wife dropped the bomb on me 1 month ago. the only difference is I have to stay at home for financial reasons. Dont despair my friend.. Dont call. I know it killing you but trust me...you'll only make things worse. if you email me at [email protected] I can give you a tip on a note I wrote to my spouse that really helped the situation.
SRV Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Skinman, I know it is not easy and truthfully some days will be worse than others. At this point if you contact her you will only push her further away which will only make you feel worse. Try and search on the forum for Caliguy's "Guide to NC" it might help you alleviate some of the urges you have to call. Stay busy, do not be alone, surround yourself with friends and family. I know that old saying, about exercising, trust me in my situation it helped a lot. This too shall pass, stay strong and good luck!
