childrenswriter Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Ok this situation has been going on for quite some time. I like one of my managers at work and i know he likes me, he even admitted it. I know about the consequences of getting involved. Recently we had a conversation that left me kind of confused. Anyway i can't exactly remember how the conversation went or what his exact words were but he told me that he was standoffish towards me because he is my boss and that i work under him and the job was his only worry. I know in the past he was keeping his distance for a few weeks but then he started to get friendly again for the past few days. So is that a no on his part even though we both know that we like one another or is he just letting me know that if he is standoffish towards me at work not to think anything of it. We text from time to time as he does with one of my good friends at work but they both think nothing of it because it's just fun and games between them and she doesn't like him the way I do because she has her own man and the boss knows it. We're all just really good friends, casual type of workplace. I also know that in the workplace he is my boss and to remain professional but outside of work it is nobody's business what we do. Most of the people that I work with thinks I hate him anyway so they wouldn't catch on. I'm thinking of transferring anyway not because of him but because of better pay. Just kind of confused after that conversation and thanks for everyone's help.
