markyboy1983 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I have been a member of this site for about a week and couldn't find a post about this, but if U have read my few posts, I said I was gonna find some metal/rock songs about breaking up and all of the "things" that go along with it. I have found a couple of songs so far. Hopefully people will add more in the future. OK, so here's what I got so far 1: Avenged Sevenfold - "Afterlife." This song can be taken for face value of a man that dies and goes to heaven to early, but I feel he is talking about a relationship that is "too perfect" and has to get out of it. Kind of like my relationship. 2: Avenged Sevenfold - "Almost Easy." About a guy realizing its over and kind of wants her back. 3: Metallica - "Nothing Else Matters." This is actually a love song, but I love it so I put it on the list. 4: New Found Glory - "Forget Everything." Kind of "an bitter at my ex" type song, but pretty good. 5: Rancid - "Fall Back Down." Interpret it ur own way. That's all I got right now, but there are a million+ more, so if anyone else has anymore, please add them. I will add them as I find them. I probably know a thousand more that I can't think of right now, but will add them soon. So keep on, keepin' on. Please try to keep these somewhat rock/metal songs for the metal/rock heads. Thanx
me4u2 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Staind - Right Here Linkin Park - Numb Buckcherry - Sorry
Author markyboy1983 Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Kick A$$ songs, but we need more. "Numb" is a great song.
ahhhchooo Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Estranged, November Rain, Don't Cry, Breakdown, 14 Years... obviously a lot of others by Guns N' Roses, if you're a fan. Poison - Every Rose Has Its Thorn Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World... made me bawl like a week after we broke up. Not a rock song though. Goo Goo Dolls - Iris. Blind Melon - No Rain... "so stay with me and I'll have it made". Light/pop rock Johnny Cash/June Carter - It Ain't Me Babe/Ring of Fire/Walk The Line Cat Stevens - The First Cut Is The Deepest/Another Saturday Night Bob Dylan - Don't Think Twice, It's Alright Eminem - Kim (threw this in for laughs)

Not to be an a-hole, but "betrayed" by A7X was about Dimebag Darrell from Pantera. It is an awesome song, but if u have ur own meaning to it, then more power to u. But then again songs are what u make of them.
Author markyboy1983 Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 Bullet for my Valentine - Forever and Always - I know its more of a love song, than break up song but I love it. The metal version, not the acoustic version.
Author markyboy1983 Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 Just thought of another one "Hearts Burst into Fire", by Bullet for my Valentine
