I spent a considerable time research and reading lots of tripe and garbage that wasn't on point when trying to save my marriage. The best book that I have found is called "The Passionate Marriage." It can be a bit dense and difficult in parts but it was the best and most meaningful reference I found.

Ultimately, I got divorced but the book helped me learn a lot about relationships and how to think about them. I am still trying to put many of the ideas in practices but the best things I learned where: 1) people can come together even after extended periods of stress and strain; 2) you have to be strong and confident in yourself before you can truly love someone and being in a strong marriage. I'm not explaining it very well but the book does a much better job. I have purchased the audio version to help with the denseness of the topics. Amazon offers it. Its the best book out there in my opinion.
