How soon is too soon to ask someone out that is getting divorced?

Anytime AFTER the divorce is finalized. But, before warned, you are going to be dealing with some residual baggage and depending on how serious that baggage is, it may play heavily on the relationship. I once dated a woman who was divorced for like 4 to 6 years and almost every week I would have to hear something about her ex. Even when I went to visit her for a week her ex mysteriously needed a place to stay because something was going on with his place (though I understand why she did it, and don't blame her taking steps for protection when inviting someone you really don't know into your place of residence).

It was a week for me. No worries here about going back...

In fact, I'd say that's what sealed the deal for me...I have to thank him because he kept me from going back to a shi*** situation...

If you think she'll say yes, go for it...Just don't expect for a fairytale ending...

there's a good idea...

and I was wearing my "smoking jacket" as I leaned in the doorway.. the girl, innocent and coy, wheeled her wagon of tasty treats up to the stoop, and as the whisp of smoke cleared, their eyes met, and it felt as if these two unexpecting lovers to be had been there the whole time...
