stampdaddy Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 How soon is too soon to ask someone out that is getting divorced?
whichwayisup Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Too soon. Should be atleast 5-6 months. People need time to adjust and heal after a divorce.
Author stampdaddy Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 Too soon. Should be atleast 5-6 months. People need time to adjust and heal after a divorce. OK, well, I just found out about it 10 minutes ago... so too soon
Lookingforward Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 So you really meant to ask how soon is too soon to ask someone out after you find out someone is getting divorced? que ??
Lookingforward Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 oh ...and I DID notice the "getting divorced", so they're not even divorced yet, so yeah....waaaaay too soon (as you of all people should know)
Author stampdaddy Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 oh ...and I DID notice the "getting divorced", so they're not even divorced yet, so yeah....waaaaay too soon (as you of all people should know) neighbor chick, just filed the other day.. H came down and knocked on my door about 30 minutes ago to tell me.. I was gonna ask, "well, if you wouldnt mind, can I take her out?", but I thought I better not
Owl Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 OK SD...you KNOW you've got me begging this question.... This isn't MW, is it?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?! Otherwise...while there's no formal etiquette, from my experience here and other places, I'd agree with LF...dating shouldn't start until after the divorce is complete. Otherwise there's too much risk of the divorce not going through, reconciliation, and next thing you know, you're the OM again.

Author stampdaddy Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 I know we havent formally met.... But didnt you just get out of a relationship with a woman who was married?? Single women need lovin too you know HI! This thread is more or less a goof.. the H, my neighbor, came down to tell me that his wife filed and he was just served.. Wanted to get some advice from me as I have been divorced.. Obviously it is too soon to walk on down an ask his wife out on a date... Although.... it would be convenient..... I could just walk on over and get me some of that lovin, and with gas prices being as they are....
Lookingforward Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 <<-- gives SD a good ol' fashioned slap upside the haid............
Owl Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Stick to her brownies...while more fattening, probably more healthy for you in the long run!
Dominique Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Stud-Puppy, Why not take an ad out in the local paper, with a picture of your Shemp avatar there, that reads "Wanted: Some Real Lovin'--Texas style, Must be Divorced ,Please, Or Juuuuuust About..." Here's an idea: cook the almost-newly-single lady upstairs some of your shrimp, and give it to her as a sympathy gift, and then...let Mr. Matt date her. (JOKE) DOM
2sure Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Hmmm. Baking you Brownies. Neighbor. Both suddenly single and free. Shoulder to cry on. If Rebound had a Theme Song it would be playing right now
quankanne Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 stampy, neighbor's gonna open up a 55-gallon drum of whupass on ya for sniffing around the wifey ... you need to be careful ... who else is going to pen such eloquent "love-poetry" for the chicks here
quankanne Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 If Rebound had a Theme Song it would be playing right now robert cray's "strong persuader" comes to mind ...
Author stampdaddy Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 Stick to her brownies...while more fattening, probably more healthy for you in the long run! can I at least return the kindness with my Twinkie?
jwi71 Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 First, change your name to "Mackdaddy". Second, I'll never ever view a Twinkie the same again. Thank you for ruining that.
Author stampdaddy Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 Twinkie = Trouble especially a "stinky twinkie"
