vballtay Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 a close guy friend of mine wanted to be in a relationship with me a few months ago but i had to turn him down. he was upset but we remained good friends and talk almost every day. now however my feelings have changed towards him dramatically. i am head over heels for this guy! when i mentioned about the possibility of us together again, he said he didn't want to date me. i asked him why and he never really told me at first but he finally did. he said that when i 'rejected' him, i told him he 'never had the chance with me' (i do NOT remember saying those words but ok). and that the only reason he doesn't like me anymore is because he gave up on me. understandable. but what i DON'T understand is today, since things are a bit different, i am giving him the chance but he won't take it. why? he still flirts with me. still stares with that look in his eye. still talks to me close to every day. ah! i don't understand where his passion (lol) went for me. what happened? he KNOWS i like him now, so i don't think there is any misunderstanding on his part. we even ALMOST tried a fwb thing (his idea) but then decided not to because HE said i would become too attatched and want a relationship. (good call but there he goes with the anti-relationship thing). i am SO confused.

DeePee Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 You hurt him, and it took him a lot of time and work to heal. He doesn't want to go through that again and doesn't know if history will repeat or not. If you really like him, go for it and earn his trust.
