How to know if a old Friend is flirting with u or just having chilled out time ? What are verbal signs?

I am askin this cos one of my frnd does all sweet talks but not sure is he flirting or he is just acting normal.. Am confused..

From my point of view, it seems like your old friend might be flirting. Sweet talking is a pretty good indication of flirting. Also, if he's messing around, touching you physically in a playful manner, this is also flirting. :D

Honestly? I think YOU JUST KNOW!

I think we know, and ignore our instincts and let opportunities pass us by.

Human beings are born with highly honed instincts and we choose to ignore them as much as we take our opposable thumbs for granted.

We're animals still... if you get a vibe, you're probably not wrong. You are just cursed with cognition skills so you overthink it.

Ever seen an Ape with a self esteem issue? A depressed monkey?

Stupid cognition... ruins everything.

Not sure about the whole ape thing but D is right about the vibe, instinct, and that you just know. It's only when we start over thinking it that we no longer know. Sure sometimes a particular statement or behavior can throw anyone off,but when our instinct/ gut, whatever, picks up on a vibe, there's a good reason why.Although it's never fool proof, one of the best signs IMO is how someone is making you feel. Guys are notorious for assuming attraction due to friendly flirting. I would say we are just as bad at over looking the obvious sometimes....Eye contact isn't fool proof either due to the fact that some people are shy and will look away after brief eye contact.

Funny thing about that instinct thing, when getting to know a potenial new bf/gf how often do we fail to listen to it when we see red flags. My guess is our instincts are usually pretty accurate whether we choose to act on them or not
