I've been with my boyfriend for 18 months now, and our sex life's been good, but last week he suggested we have sex as long as the room we're in has a rancid smell to it. He said the smell of the room has to be really, really, really, really, really, really rancid because otherwise the sex won't be any fun. He said he and an ex-girlfriend had sex like this five years ago and it was the hottest sex they ever had. He also said he wasn't comparing me to his ex, he just wants more adventurous sex than the normal (i.e. location). I was horrified and told him that I was worried about this, and said it wasn't normal, but he said there was mp need to worry, it'll make our sex life all the better!! I think there are potential health risks from this suggestion of his, but he kept insisting it would make our sex life better! He keeps insisting we should do it, but I'm wary about it. Don't I have a right to be wary?? I've tried discussing my concerns but he's insistent we have sex this way - claiming it makes our sex life great! It's good he wants to be more sexually adventurous, but isn't he taking this a bit too far?? Opinions and advice appreciated. Luv Janine xxx

How does he plan to evoke this smell...it would have to build up over time, wouldn't it?

I would be inclined to suggest tht if he wants a rancid atmosphere, to dig up his old rancid love affair and see his 'rancid' girlfriend.

He said his ex dumped him because of his odd sexual deviances. Apart from the sex thing, he's a good guy in almost every other way. He wants us to have a weekend away somewhere and have sex in a rancid-smelling room - insisting it will be a great dirty weekend with hot sex. Hasn't he taken the term a bit too literally?? I don't know what to do next...

You said his ex-girlfriend dumped him because of his "odd deviances", that should say something to you right there. If he wants to have sex in a rancid smelling room, then there is no telling what he might want to try next.

 

If this is something you're not comfortable with, don't do it.

your boyfriend is a jackass to even SUGGEST this. Frankly, I'd tell him that the hottest sex you'd ever had was with a guy with a big old hoo-hoo who pleased you in every sense of the word, and life hasn't been the same since. Then let him cogitate on that. :laugh:

 

seriously, though, I think I'd be offended that he even brought up his past sex life in order to get you to try things with him. To insinuate that the only way he'll every have "hot" sex with you is for you to do something you don't agree with is not a very smart move on his end.

Putting aside the fact that this is very weird, not to mention DISCUSTING behavior, I agree that his ex must not have loved it if she dumped him due to it. So if it wasn't hot for her, why does he think it will be hot for you? Especially since you told him you are against it!!
