Men generally don't have alterior motives when they say things. That's the woman's department.

It depends on who the guy is, and who is he complimenting? My H to me: aw, he's being sweet. My H to you: not cool. Unless you're his sister or his mother. And I like you.
2sure Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 My H compliments women on a regular basis. He notices if a woman has her hair cut. He likes women. He also knows people enjoy compliments. He is being friendly or flirty depending on the woman. Either way, there is no hidden meaning in a compliment. I have had to tell him that he needs to curb the compliments with women he works with less he be taken the wrong way.
