Disillusioned Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Even after I decided to discontinue hosting a singles group, people are still calling me and wanting to know when the next event is. This sucks. I guess no one ever told them that finding a partner isn't supposed to make sense. I learned my lesson the hard way... if a square peg won't fit in a round hole, using a bigger hammer won't help.

BlueHarvest Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Try to pass leadership off to one of the more active people in the club. Stopping singles groups can lead to to some pretty detrimental results for other people, some people use it as a form of socializing and without it go back to old anti-social habits. Next person that calls, talk to them a few minutes, ask them how much they like the group, ask them if they want to take over leadership of the group. Over the next month let people know they are the new leader.

I'll do instead like many other people have suggested... which is to sit around and wait until the right woman uses her ESP to find me.
