audrey_1 Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I've been waxing nostalgic about my past relationships and sexual interludes, comparing them all, in hopes of establishing where I want to go in the future. Some relationships have been more intense than others, more emotionally charged than others. This would be apparent through the type of sex we had. In your opinion, what's the difference between sex and "making love," or is there any difference? Is it eye contact? What you say? Duration? What?
Rooster_DAR Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Making love tends to favor a very strong emotional bond, where as sex is interpreted as a more instinctual self fulfilling act. It's all sex when you take the semantics out of it though. Cheers!
Meaplus3 Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I think theres a big difference between the two. Making love IMO does involve more eye contact, kissing, caressing..and it's normally slow and tender at least in my experiences. Sex, less emotional, less eye to eye and much more of a physically oriented event. Just my thoughts. AP:)
JamesM Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 IMO, sex is all about getting, while making love is all about giving.
Author audrey_1 Posted October 21, 2008 Author Posted October 21, 2008 I think eye contact makes a big distinction to me.
tanbark813 Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 In your opinion, what's the difference between sex and "making love," or is there any difference? The latter requires romantic feelings, the former doesn't.
Trialbyfire Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Making love is with someone you care greatly about, possibly love, who you have sex with. Sex is just the act of copulation.
Lovegod Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 In your opinion, what's the difference between sex and "making love," or is there any difference? "Making Love" is a term from the 1960s. "Sex" is a term from the 1970s "F#$%ing" is a term from the 1980s. "Making :bunny: " is a term on Loveshack.org
Author audrey_1 Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 It's been four months since I've (we've) had sex, and this weekend, it was with someone I do care for greatly, who I've had quite the journey with over the past year, and I noticed it was a cut above the rest (sexually). He even slowed it down, gently took my head in his hands, and positioned my head directly in front of his face, and stared into my eyes - for a long time. It's probably the most submissive I've ever been. I usually try to dominate, but he let me do that for a while, and slowly, but surely, took control. I'm not sure what it means, but I don't think it was just run-of-the-mill copulation. It's like his eyes were burning a hole into my soul. Moving.
