Petey85 Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Hi I have been a lurker for sometime now and finally created an account and would like to introduce myself and seek advice on my situation. I have this girl that lives in my court which I think is cute and would like to ask her out but I don't know how to approach. Our schedule is different like by the time I wake up in the morning she is gone for school and when I'm at school she is at home. We go to different school by the way. We went to the same high school though but she is two classes lower than me and I was an acquaintance with her older sister which graduated the same class as me. I was thinking of leaving her a note on her car windshield saying "I think you're cute...Would you like to go out sometime? If so, please call (number here)" I don't know seems kinda of weird cause I want to ask her in person but never see her out and I don't want to just go to her house and ring the doorbell. If she rejects I'll just run home and close the garage door quickly as possible..lol So, please give me some advice on what I should do. Thanks! -Pete
bobdole Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 I really wouldn't do the "leaving a note" thing. I wouldn't just walk up and ring her doorbell either. She'd think both smell of "stalker". You need an in person encounter with her. Talk to her at a party, bump into her while she's shopping ("hey aren't you so and so's little sister? I knew her in school. I always hoped I'd run into you again, you always seemed so interesting and pretty to me." - that sort of deal)
Okeydokey Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 definitely don't leave note on the car. even though it sounds cute and romantic (if she is into it)... it would be creepy that you know her car, if she is not into it. if you guys live in the same court and it is obvious that everyone knows where each other lives, like say, there are only 6 units or something, then you could leave a note on her door. and that would be cool and not creepy. but, the content you suggested was a bit cheesy and i would definitely leave out the "you're cute" thing. i'd suggest: "hey, you looked really familiar, and i've been racking my brain to figure out where we know each other from. and i actually think we might have gone to the same high school? now that we're neighbors we should meet up for a coffee and introduce ourselves properly." later, you can make your interest clear to her if she seems into it.
