Not sure I understand the question? Teenagers that shop for their own clothes and sundries on their own? There own groceries?

Since my daughter has been able to drive she shops on her own for her own things, we were both releived at that point! She occasionally will by some groceries that she wants to have in the house for herself, but she could save her self that trouble by leaving me a list on grocery day!

Why do you ask?

Wouldn't most parents call that a blessing?

Maybe put this in the family thread.... I don't know just trying to help you.

As far as the question goes, I have been "shopping on my own" since I was 16, and able to work. I have actually helped my parents out since then, and during that I put myself through college by working full-time and going to school full-time. I now have a Bachelor's of Science degree, and I still help out my parents. I seriously don't remember the last time my parents have brought me anything. For my b-day and Christmas it is just understood that we are unable to do anything.

It is frustrating. I feel burnt out already and I am only 26! Someone help me!!!! :lmao:

Depends on whos money it is and what they're buying. If they're using their own money, then good for them for learning how to support themselves.

If they're just using their parents' money to buy crap, then the parents need a boot in the ass.
