sunshinegirl Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Ah, gotta love it. I have a date tomorrow night, and another date Friday night, and I have a ginormous growing pimple on my forehead. I can only mask it so much with makeup, and don't have bangs to cover it up, so I'm wondering if anybody has any tried-and-true ways to treat 'em... fast. At this rate it's going to take over my face by Saturday.

quankanne Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 tooth paste instead of makeup (it'll dry out more quickly); hydrogen peroxide to foam that sucker out; Windex (as per the daddy in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding") to really dry it out quickly.
Geishawhelk Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Sunshinegirl, as an ex-beautician, if you MUST pop it, here's what you do.... First wash your hands scrupulously. Then, get a bowl of 'the-hottest-you-can-stand' boiled water, and disolve some salt in it. Very antiseptic, salt. prepare a bowlful of cold water too, with a handful of ice cubes in it. Dip a cottonwool ball in the hot water, , squeeze it out and apply to zit. do this two or three times always with a fresh cottonwool ball every time! Now, take some fresh cotton wool, and dip it into the freezing water. repeat as with hot water, with clean cotton wool. Finally take two clean tissues, wrap around your fingers and gently ease the zit and squeeze it. Don't apply sudden firm pressure, try to make it gentle and gradual. Hopefully, this treatment will work. Then, take a drop of essential Lavender oil, and dab it onto the wound. It's one of the best things to use for healing cuts, sores, wounds and burns. It's not looking quite as ferocious this morning so maybe it's not on track to be a category 5 pimple after all. I won't have time to treat it before tonight's date, but I will before tomorrow night's (which is the one I care more about anyway). Thanks for all the help!

Toothpaste manufacturers should start marketing this dual use of their product.

Yeah, WTF is with that, anyway? Why do some women like doing that? I've only encountered that with my XW, and she was a weird-ass b!tch in a bunch of other ways.
