manugeorge Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Let's face it, Lingerie is expensive and not only that, it's just hard to find ones that fit well and is complementary so usually on the rare occassion that I do find one I like, I buy it and wear it for my boyfriend. But I often wonder if I can wear it again after that. Or if it would have the same effect as it did the first time. I mean, if Lingerie is about trying something new and different, isn't wearing the same one twice essentially defeating the purpose of trying something new? So what do you guys think about repeatedly wearing the same lingerie?
Trialbyfire Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 As long as you wash it between intermittent wears, it doesn't matter. The impression I get from men is that while lingerie is nice to spice up your love life, it's what's underneath that counts!
Kamille Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I never wondered about that one, but then again, I also never thought lingerie was only about trying something new and different. For me, wearing lingerie is about taking time to pamper myself and feel sexy, so yes, I do repeats (or used to do repeats when I had a boyfriend). He never complained. Of course, new pieces always got noticed, but the end result was always the same, no matter if the garment was new or a repeat.
2sure Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 LOL. I know exactly what your talking about here! I like to wear something special once in a while for fun, and my H loves it. You know, a little more elaborate than just pretty bras and panties. After I had worn something once, I would hesitate to pull it out again soon - it felt like a sex uniform! LOL. "Hey, Ive got on my shiny purple outfit - must be sexy time!" It is much easier to just have a larger selection to choose from. My H and I have a "tradition" that makes this easier - whenever we go away on vacation he buys lingerie for me while we are there, as a momento. Of course, the first couple of times the size was wrong, but he has it down now!
Ruby Slippers Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I haven't bothered with sexy lingerie in a while -- it's all stuck in my bottom drawer because my last partner thought it was just an obstruction to what he really wanted to see. But when I did, I had 5-10 sets at a time, and I would pick out whichever one suited the mood of the day. Since that stuff is expensive, I certainly wear it more than once. Unless it gets ripped offa ya, and then whaddya gonna do?
Shygirl15 Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Oh, I loove lingerie. I try not to repeat the same lingerie until after I use others 4 times at least. I guess if your BF loves lingerie, you'll need to invest in them. If you get good sexy ones, they can really help spice up things in the bedroom.

I never got the whole point in Lingerie anyway, I just feel like a tool in them, like I'm trying too hard or something, besides, aren't they coming off anyway? so why not just skip all the frills and go straight to business? oh well. The boyfriend likes them so I have to indulge him sometimes. 5-10 sets though? man, that's like a week's salary:D
Trialbyfire Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Everyone has personal style and preference for lingerie. Some lingerie is really, really tasteless. Pick what you feel sexy, comfortable and natural in. When you do so, your confidence will...cum...through!
melodymatters Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 My oldest, dearest GF is a multi millionaire with a shopping addiction ! I am SO lucky ! She's pretty much the same size, so she sends HUGE boxs every 6 months or so, and my daughter and I go through them like it's christmas eve ! I've never been a lingerie person either, but i got TONS of cute little pices in this last shipment and my guy has very much enjoyed them. It's a new fun thing for me, but I'm betting I will switch them up, wash them and start over again. He's such a sweetie though, he thinks I'm "the most beautiful girl in the world" when I just wake up, with smeared eye make up and hair in a rats nest !

Huh???? unless it's disposable ('eatable') lingerie..then of course, I don't know anyone who throw their lingerie after only one wear.. Lingerie IS expensive.. I have ton of it.. men love it.. they are visual.. and I often leave it on all through the 'love session'.. I love to 'get ready'... put nice music on.. take a nice bubble bath...put nice stuff on (garter belts, nylons, high heels, bustier, the whole nine yards).. I looove it..

That's cause you are! Apologies for the momentary the threadjack. I'm still basking in MM's happiness.
konfuzd Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 You can always use the same lingerie, but in different settings: Cook him his favorite meal while wearing lingerie in the kitchen (as long as it's not bacon). On a lazy sunday afternoon, excuse yourself to go to the bathroom, come out wearing something sexy and walk back into the room like nothing has changed. My personal favorite: put it on right before you go out to run a quick errand with him, and cover it up with a long trenchcoat, or a dress. Only he will know what's hiding beneath, the anticipation will drive him crazy. Be creative, and he won't care what you're wearing, it's all about getting him stoked up for the big event. Have fun!
Konfuzion Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 For me lingerie is just a way of a woman showing that she is wanting to do something special for me, I dont care if she wears the same lingerie 500 times its the thought that counts.
Lizzie60 Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I even pushed the lingerie stuff really far... at one point, I was keeping a log on each guy.. and writing the date, what I wore.. etc.. so I wouldn't wear the same outfit the next time he came over.. I know this is a little over the edge.. but I am a perfectionist.. every little detail counts.. but I have to say that I'm not as 'maniac' anymore.. I just put whatever I feel like wearing.. now, as I'm writing this.. i'm wearing a tight coral camisole over a nice kaki & coral lace bra with matching thong..
Konfuzion Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 now, as I'm writing this.. i'm wearing a tight coral camisole over a nice kaki & coral lace bra with matching thong.. Have my babies?
Lizzie60 Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Have my babies? sorry dude.. the factory is closed..
Konfuzion Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 sorry dude.. the factory is closed.. Practice? It will be fun I promise
Lizzie60 Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Practice? It will be fun I promise Practice??? you got to be kidding me.. I don't doubt one second that it would be fun..
Konfuzion Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Practice??? you got to be kidding me.. I don't doubt one second that it would be fun.. I am all about practicing making babies... Ok now back on topic! (Sorry)
Ruby Slippers Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 besides, aren't they coming off anyway? so why not just skip all the frills and go straight to business? oh well. Yeah, that's what the last guy said. He was like, "Yeah, cute panties. Now get them out of my way." Rawr! It was hot. 5-10 sets though? man, that's like a week's salary:D A set like a sparkly little V-string with a sheer lace bra is under $50, and just as sexy (if not sexier) than something more elaborate, like a lace corset, panties, garters, and thigh-highs. It's fun to take pictures in them and send them to him, too -- then you get a lot more mileage out of 'em. I think it's cute when they're really into it. When I bought my first very sexy set of lingerie and unveiled it for my guy at the time (first love), though he had always been super dominant, he just went crazy and got all goddess-worshippy. hehehe It was adorable.
cutegirl Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 A set like a sparkly little V-string with a sheer lace bra is under $50, and just as sexy (if not sexier) than something more elaborate, like a lace corset, panties Depends on if you want low end or high end... La Perla is the best and a bra can cost $150 up to over $200 (for just the bra) unless you go for the cheaper Malezia line etc from La Perla... A sheer lace bra with v-string for under $50 is not expensive at all. That must be generic Victoria Secret stuff from the mall.
Ruby Slippers Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Depends on if you want low end or high end... Yeah, cuz you know, two pieces of string, a little rhinestone heart, and a few panels of sheer fabric are worth $200+. If I were paying that kind of money for less than a square foot of fabric on a regular basis, I'd certainly feel like I was the one getting screwed!
Konfuzion Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I'd certainly feel like I was the one getting screwed! Isn't that the plan?
Ruby Slippers Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Yes. Double entendre intended. All this talk is making me frisky.
