datingdate Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I have been in the dating "market" for a while but no luck. 1. Am I too old? (45) 2. I have met some guys but pretty much disappointed after some calls and meet ups. One guy asked me to go to his place and stay overnight with him after our second date which I turned down. But he said I am rude by refusing to come to his house according to his culture. (I am Asian and he is American. I came to this country 4 years ago.) Is it true? But I don't want to give up my belief even if I am considered "rude". Or am I too conservative? Where are the people who is serious? I am lost...

I don't think you are conservative for not going back to his place just because he asked you to. It's better than having regrets by going against your beliefs.

If you let those people define who you are, it is easy for you to lost. Why do you give that kind important authority to others who don't have an idea who you really are, they may don't really care about you. If I let the popular trend or culture to define me, I would be lost long ago. The only one can define me is God If you want to please a man and lost yourself and self respect, it really won't be worth. You did a right thing .
