Stephen09 Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Its amazing how much i've changed in four days. I broke up with my girlfriend of 1yr 6mos and was devistated. I needed people who could relate so i came here with dim hope. After posting several threads and venting. I waited for replys. And i got them. One by one they helped me. What i used to see as a "perfect" relationship i now laugh at. I failed to see the fighting we always had because i was in denial. And as much as this is not a question, but thanks to the people on this site who care enough to help others find a light at the end of the tunnel. I was so attached to her, and now, i find myself not even getting that sick gut feeling anymore. I could care less, because i need to move on with life. If i didn't run across this site, i would have gone down hill major. Again, thanks guys, and if anyone else has found relief through this site, leave a post on this thread and give a shout out to the people that helped you! THEY DESERVE IT! (If i have anymore relationship problems you can expect me to come to y'all for advice ) - Stephen, 17 A special thanks to: TigerCub, Yilian411, Geishawhelk, Ruby Slippers, Sloppyclam, LonelyandFrusterated.
Geishawhelk Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 It's what we do, Stephen. We just try our best, and reach out. I am so glad you're feeling good. Long my it continue, friend!
Ruby Slippers Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Hey, anytime! I couldn't possibly name all the people who've given me useful things to think about -- they have been too numerous! But the feedback I got here, in addition to counseling, talking to friends, meditating on my own, was part of what helped me leave a relationship that was making me unhappy. It's also been helpful in picking myself up and moving on to better things. So, thanks for the good advice, fellow LSers!
