You'reasian Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 My medical records are a complete lie...I really am 5'6"
lonelyisme Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Well, first of all, I'm closer to 6-1 but I always say 6'... So men don't always lie about their height to make themselves seem taller than they are! Secondly, I have been with women that were taller than me! Height has never bothered me at all... It is different and I prefer woman that are about 5'-8" or so but taller women isn't a deal breaker. If a man doesn't like a woman being taller than him, or smarter than him, or make more money than him, or whatever, then he is insecure and doesn't need to be so lucky to have you! (Vice-Versa too!)
Vertex Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I am 6 foot 2, and I always say I am 6 foot 2. I don't want chicks subtracting inches off me, lol. I've got nothin' to hide. I love it because even with heels/whatever, I'm still taller. If someone is going to hug/kiss me, they have to get up nice and close
JamesM Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 As Lizzie said, Guys lie about height like women lie about weight. Men make judgments about what a woman will look like if they are given the weight. For instance, a 5' 5" woman listed as 140# may seem heavy when compared with a woman listed at the same height but the weight is 120#. In reality, when one meets the "heavier" one, she may actually look sexier and much more attractive. So women make judgments about men based on height. I read it here often. So if a man is 5' 5" and is listed next to a man who is 6', it is likely that the man who is six foot will be looked at more appreciably.
Lucky_One Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Why do guys lie about their height? I think it is sometimes because women are so ridiculous about refusing to date someone who happens to be X'Y" tall. You can get a short guy who is ridiculously cocky (Napoleonic) OR a tall guy who is ridiculously cocky (OJ'ish); they are the way they are. Women lie about weight - but at least they can do something about it 95% of the time. It is pretty darned hard to alter your height. I have a 14 year old son who is shorter than his classmates, and will probably end up being about his father's height 5'7". He is gorgeous, slim and athletic. I told him we are going to run him as an Abercrombie model, and they will pair him with this beautiful teenaged girls who are taller than he is - and the female world will suddenly fall in love with shorter guys bc they will finally get noticed in the mainstream ad world. He's gonna start a trend. But honest to God, when your kid gets their heart "broken" by rejection bc they are short, overweight, flat-chested, or have zits, then it can help you to understand that we are all just the way we were created, and it can help open your eyes to the world.
CaliGal Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 He's probably 5'6" but I say go heels anyway!
Author D-Lish Posted October 13, 2008 Author Posted October 13, 2008 I just heard from her royal fabulousness. She asked me to report back to everyone that he is 5'7", but cute! More later directly from her... Man, why is that guys are generally off on their *measurements* by 3" or so? lol- yes, he was about 5'7"... but super cute. Black hair, blue eyes.... awesome accent, great kisser. I wore my heeled boots- he didn't care... I just got home now. No sex, but lots of kissing. Love that accent.... lol
You'reasian Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I'm 5'5" and 115 lbs of manhood. I'm puttin' that on my profile...
JamesM Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I'm 5'5" and 115 lbs of manhood. I'm puttin' that on my profile... That must get awful heavy.
Lucky_One Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 lol- yes, he was about 5'7"... but super cute. Black hair, blue eyes.... awesome accent, great kisser. Love that accent.... lol I am dead serious - a man who can go nose to nose with you is a man who doesn't dig his chin in the top of your head during sex. And a strong confident man who just desires the legs and pays no attention to a height difference bc of your shoes is a man who is self-assured, and THAT is sexy in itself! Glad it was fun - and ohmygoodness, you JUST got home??
You'reasian Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 That must get awful heavy. Two words: wheel barrow.
Author D-Lish Posted October 15, 2008 Author Posted October 15, 2008 I am dead serious - a man who can go nose to nose with you is a man who doesn't dig his chin in the top of your head during sex. Glad it was fun - and ohmygoodness, you JUST got home?? Yes... It was a long drive there and back, and we had a few drinks. He was a complete gentleman. I didn't feel weird about staying the night. I didn't mind the height at all. He's a super confident guy... I mean he leaned across the table and gave me a kiss at one point in the night. It was so good to actually know for sure he was into me, instead of having to play guessing games. It was comfortable from the start- we clicked with our conversation and spent most of the night going back and forth between some down to earth intelligent conversations and laughing uncontrollably. It even felt natural when he grabbed my hand and held it on the walk home. It's been a long time since I have had a date where things flowed so comfortably. He also text me to make sure I got home okay yesterday and told me he had loads of fun and is looking forward to getting togther again. Not in a "too much too soon" kind of way- just in a straight up kind of way. The problem I forsee? He is here from ireland, travelling across Canada for a year- so he will definitely be leaving in the next couple months to continue on his travels. I am already starting to process that information and wondering if I should allow myself to like him. May sound stupid to some... but I am considering whether a second date is something to pursue because of this.

I'm glad to hear it's working out so nicely, but I would get it if you didn't pursue it because of the expiration date.
pretty professional Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Yeah, sounds like he is just looking to get some while 'traveling across' Canada. Otherwise why would he put out an ad when he is leaving "traveling across" Canada? He could even leave sooner, he is totally in a position to take off anytime, pump and dump. bye bye.
