MJ300 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Hey everyone, im new here and im already liking this forum!! Anyway, I have a question about this one girl I REALLY LIKE. We have been friends all of our life, but we have become good friends in the past two years. And about 2 months ago I go the idea of dating her. The only thing is she has a boyfriend right now!! I kinda think she likes me because a day or two ago she asked me to go take the SAT with her and her alone in December. Of course I said yes and I'm hoping that by then she will be single. So I want to maybe ask her out after the SAT. I'll take her to and pay for lunch and then hopefully I'll get a "yes." So any advice you guys can give me on how to get closer to her, and if there is a time period I need to wait till I ask her out once she breaks up with her boyfriend. Thanks in advance!!
siriusmatt Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 As a guy who has been there time and again, I'll say that you're probably setting yourself for disappointment. It's not a good situation to be in. Just some food for thought... If she felt about you the same way you felt about her, why would she still be with her boyfriend? That said, you're much better off just laying your cards on the table than wating in the wings. If it works out, then hey, good on you. But even if you don't get what you want, you will be in a position to move on and not waste your time wating on something that isn't going to happen.
Green Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Who cares if she has a bf she really doesn't sound to serious with the guy. I say you don't ask her out until after you've kissed her, just flirt with her and then kiss her and see how she reacts. Plus don't get focused on this one girl make sure your exploring other options
Author MJ300 Posted October 13, 2008 Author Posted October 13, 2008 Who cares if she has a bf she really doesn't sound to serious with the guy. Thats why i think i should try to keep flirting a little more and hopefully by December they will break up. That way since i'll already be close to her she will be more open to dating me. And to all those who might think im being mean to her current boyfriend. Im not. From what ive seen and heard he is a jerk to her sometimes and they don't seem to be very romantic either. Thanks guys!!
