Bells Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Went to this party one time, and there was this cute girl that was kinda flirtin' with me....she even initiated conversation...she was mingling and such....I was startin to like her. She was telling me "You should be around on (such and such date)" I was like "really? Why's that?" "I'll be celebrating my divorce." "I went" "Hey, pretty cool! I guess I should show up then!" I asked her if she's been dating lately and stuff. And she said that she wasn't , at least right now...since she's getting to know the group, just wants to go out and make friends and stuff. I said that's pretty cool. Anyhow, I went to mingle with other people and friends, and then the evening was winding down...and I got to talking to her again and she was talking to someone else....and another guy shows up (I know him too....barely.) Anyhow, he said, "Yeah, I better be gettin' back....I'm her ride" And I say, "You guys came together?" And he hesitates....very tongue n cheek for like a full minute..."Um...yeah, we came together." Then he walks away. LOL! That was strange. I'm guessing he is hoping he has a shot at her or something since apparently he picked her up and brought her to the party? I remember when I was "Someone's ride" to a party...turns out, I was taking her to her boyfriends party. And yes....I didn't know she had a boyfriend. Not sure if any of you had been in a situation like this....but ALSO, I remember a time where I was talking to this woman...it was at a singles mingle...and I mentioned "Who is that guy that was with you?" And she kind of goes "Meh...he's just my ride" Meaning, "Meh, I just used that dude to get out of paying for gas money" lol Ever had a situation like that?
