Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for songs that I can put on a cd for a guy that I like. I am always searching for words, but can never say what I want to say. He LOVES music, so I thought that my last good faith effort at snagging this guy would be to try the cd. The songs that I have in mind are "Desperado" by the Eagles; "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz (maybe); "Into the Mystic" by Van Morrison; "Beast of Burden" by the Rolling Stones; and "Realize" by Colby Callait. Please add to the list if you think of anything. He likes the classic rock kind of stuff the most, so any help would be appreciated as I am 10 years younger than him! LOL... thanks in advance.

One of my favorites from the 80s is

Belinda Carlisle

Heaven on Earth.

But I don't know what type he will go for.

Then the question is...why do you think a CD will actually make him realize what your feelings are?

He may like music, but will he connect this to YOU?

I truly do not know. Like I said, it is a last effort thing. I cannot wait around forever for him. I will be the first to admit, my feelings for him are a little unorthodox seeing as I hardly know him. I know things about him and all, but there is just something that tells me that he is a "special somebody" for me. Thank you for your suggestion.

classic rock, eh? Ah, the good old days, when Levi 501s and t-shirts were the epitome of cool ....

okay, look for stuff by Boston (anything from their debut album), Yes ("roundabout"), The Who ("won't get fooled again"), Led Zepplin ("dyer maker," "stairway to heaven"), Blue Oyster Cult, Grand Funk Railroad, Bad Company, Thin Lizzy ("the boys are back in town" is a good one!), Moody Blues ("nights in white satin"), Rolling Stones (which you already have ...), Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, SRV, The Beatles, Tom Petty, Queen ... all good, powerful stuff.

The "Not to Late" album By Norah Jones has a bunch of good songs on it. One of my favorites is "Thinking about you". Also Mariah Careys new Album has some good ones.

Some suggestions:

Walter Egan, "Magnet & Steel"

Beach Boys, "God Only Knows"

Aaliyah, "At Your Best (You Are Love)"

Bobby Caldwell, "What You Won't Do for Love"

My BF listens to oldies music. He likes that Beach Boy song someone mentioned before "God Only Knows" and he also downloaded a song by the Honeydrippers "Sea of Love".

I like it when he writes his own songs for me better.

my standard answer, "2 live crew: Me So Horny"
