Alright! So I kind of a complicated (at least it seems that way to me) question for all of you, and I'll try to keep it brief.

For a long long time in my life, I was a downhill ski racer, and I skied internationally. I was training hardcore from about Jr. High up until my first year of college. With that said, I never really had a "normal" relationship. I avoided dating situations because I was simply never ever in town.

I've dated two guys in my life - the first I dated quite briefly, and our relationship started on rocky terms (we were attracted to eachother for a long time, but instead of feeling things out we drunkenly hooked up one new years and decided to date), the second guy I dated came after skiing ended, BUT he lived in California (and I'm in Canada), we met through a cousin, because my family comes from the area he lives in, but most of our preliminary flirting and crushing was done "online".

Anyways, I'm a pretty confident girl - I have no problem walking up to a guy and being flirtatious - EXCEPT when its a guy I'm actually crushing on! So the whole point of this post is... I feel like I'm a little girl in Jr. High who has no idea about how to get a real date ;p (due to lack of experience!).

My other concern is I just got out of a longterm relationship (the California guy) about a month and a half ago. Both of us were moving apart before then, but the breakup still hurt me deeply.

I've found a new guy now... sort of. He's actually my neighbor from across the street, but I didn't know that until about a week ago (go figure). When I figured this out, I went up and chatted with him and he was blushing a TON, and I've caught him checking me out a few times in class... but... he never starts up conversation, doesn't do too much at all. Should I start sitting next to him, start saying hi more? Or is that coming off too strong? Am I moving on too quickly from my past relationship? Would it be better to crush from afar for a while and be single?

Sorry this is long, I'm just nervousy ;p and as I said, I'm really not sure how to do this pursuing a guy thing ;p

I'm just going to give you the same advice I would give a guy in your situation... ask him out on a date type thing that doesn't really seem like a date. Like if you know your going to a party or bar b q this weekend then mention and say "you should come"...yeah just invite him to something. You could ask for help studying something

Aww, that's cute... I'd have to agree with KMT though... :)
