Why must I feel the need to conquer?!

Ok as i catch myself paying faaaaaaaaaarrr too much attention to my very adorable co worker, I cant help but wonder what will happen after i "catch" him.

Why do we feel the need to chase our prey but then lose interest shortly after the catch?? i just want to reel him in, play with him and then.. throw him back?!

Sometimes i feel like such a dude. Ugh!
