Rooster_DAR Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 So a girl I dated back in the day found me on myspace (which I hate BTW), and it was so strange talking to her again. I dated her off and on when I was 29, and she was only 15. I know what some of you are thinking, but she was very mature and we had intense chemistry, plus her dad liked me anyway. So she gave me her number and was adamant about me calling her, so I did this evening. It was really strange at first, but we both kind of still had that feeling again. She now has 3 kids, I have one so we both have been through that part of our life. She is so beautiful, but so much time has gone by. She wants us to get together, perhaps meet this weekend to see each other. Her husband killed himself (over her with another man) many years ago and was one of my best friends. I just feel really weird about that, but the chemistry her and I have always had I believe is still there. I guess I'm not sure what to do, I've spent the last 2 and half years recovering from my Ex fiance, I"m just a little nervous I suppose. Any thoughts are welcome. Cheers!
pretty professional Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Jerry Springer time. To even consider dating a 15 year old when you are 29 is insane. Sorry.
JohnnyBlaze Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Well, her previous age aside (as I'm assuming she is legal now), you may as well meet up with her over the weekend. What is there to lose? At best, something rekindles. At worst, you get to say hi to an old friend (no pun intended). If it were me, I'd go for it.
Author Rooster_DAR Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 Jerry Springer time. To even consider dating a 15 year old when you are 29 is insane. Sorry. Yeah, I know. But she did not look 15 and I was really young for my age, if that's any kind of excuse.
Author Rooster_DAR Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 Well, her previous age aside (as I'm assuming she is legal now) LOL! Well she has been married for the past nine years, she's only been divorced for six months which worries me a bit. Thanks for the replies.
Ms. Red Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 I met up with an X after 13 years of not seeing or speaking to him because we had a messy break up. I was a nervous wreck at first. But once we saw each other & got over the initial nerves, it went great. You probably are over-thinking it in your head of how things will turn out. Just relax & let things play out naturally. Good luck! =^-^=
Star Gazer Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Her husband killed himself (over her with another man) many years ago and was one of my best friends. I just feel really weird about that, Uh, you should feel weird about that. This alone is reason enough to RUN away.
Author Rooster_DAR Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 Uh, you should feel weird about that. This alone is reason enough to RUN away. I think your right, that's a huge red flag. Thanks,
Shygirl15 Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 plus her dad liked me anyway. Did dad knew you were banging his 15yrs old daughter?? I agree, the husband killing himself thing is a big flag. So she has been divorced for six months, is this from a 2nd husband? If so, another big flag.
Trimmer Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Did dad knew you were banging his 15yrs old daughter?? Actually he said "dated." Rooster, were you banging her? Uh, you should feel weird about that. This alone is reason enough to RUN away. I agree, the husband killing himself thing is a big flag. So she has been divorced for six months, is this a 2nd husband? If so, another big flag. I think the husband killing himself was his own issue - I don't see how you pin that on her, unless you believe that she somehow drove him to it???? But if he was her husband at the time, and she was "with another man..." that sounds like infidelity, and if so, then I'll take that as a red flag...

Yeah he knew, he actually liked me and we got along really well. Again, I know it was probably a bad call, but the circumstances were so different. Yeah, I think I'm going to have to say no to this situation, it spells trouble all the way around. Thanks you guys,
Lucky_One Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Uh, you should feel weird about that. This alone is reason enough to RUN away. Thank you for pointing that out.

I was not there, I just heard rumors that she was cheating on him and he found them at a bar together. He was very drunk (alcoholic) and ran onto the freeway in front of the bar and was hit by two vehicles. Damn, now I fell terrible.

Or perhaps I'm falling asleep already..
Author Rooster_DAR Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 I know it's bad news, I just needed confirmation. I just remember how much chemistry we had, it's rare that I find that with anybody. Oh well, I'm going to leave this alone. Should I just ignore her, or be polite and tell her why it's not going to happen?
pretty professional Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Just ignore her. She sounds like a cheating piece of trailer trash, no offense.
Shygirl15 Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Just ignore her. She sounds like a cheating piece of trailer trash, no offense. No offense, huh? Wonder why people like to use this line when they want to get offensive. Okay, time to sleep. Goodnite everybody.
JamesM Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 And why is it that people who live in trailers are trash? I have met many people who could be classified as "trash" who live in apartments and mansions.
Green Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 First off its always bad news when these ex gf's look you up. secondly you statutory rapist dating a 15 year old shame on you. I'm not saying I wouldn't if some hot 15 year old came onto me, but still shame on you
whichwayisup Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 She's in your past...Chemistry or not, it's probably best for you in the long run to keep that door shut. Great sex isn't worth the possible STD you might catch, let alone the baggage/drama she has had in her life. What if she drags it into your life, and your child's life as well? You don't need that.. 6 months isn't that long ago..
Ms. Red Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Since It's being assumed Rooster was looking for a relationship or a sexual hook-up with this X, I feel the need to clarify: Rooster, I thought you meant you would just meet up to chat & catch up on life. That's all I did with my X. We were both married to other people. I really thought that's all you meant. So, I guess my previous post is moot.
CarrieT Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Should I just ignore her, or be polite and tell her why it's not going to happen? Be polite. It is a gentlemanly thing to do and there are few enough gentlemen in this world. She deserves to know why and you will feel better if you are honest with her.
Sks Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 15 @ 29 is pretty ****ed up, you might have made it onto a Dateline NBC episode.
