BaD_Day Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 the girl I like has her birthday coming up, I thought about it, and we're not BF/GF or anything, but I still want to give her good BD gift, say 30 bucks gift card from bed bath&beyond good? I'm on the poor side, and I can't think of any other gift haha, I was thinking of some kind of books like origami/cooking ect... but i'm not sure if that's a good idea. The plan is I'll make an origami box (it looks really cool, and I'm decent at orgiami, so why not ), I'll wrap it myself (I know how to gift wrap pretty well), I'll also make the flower (yeah I can do a decent flower too). Basically the whole dam thing will be an art/craft project. I also know a really good birthday song (not the happy birthday thing, more like a real song) that I can sing/record (I have a small home studio that can churn out some ok stuff). Should I do something like that? in my head it sounds like fun, but I'm not sure if that's a little too much, for friends that is suggestions?
superd Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 You want good advice, only do half of what you thought of, and it will do the trick.
D-Lish Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 If you're not bf and gf yet... a bottle of wine will suffice, or something along those lines. I agree- don't go overboard at this point.
rod_in_gtown Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 One thing I did recently (I was short on cash) I recorded a song and posted in on youtube. then I went on my facebook and I sent it to her as an attachment on a message. something along the lines of "I recorded this song, and I thought you'd like it, happy bday". She LOVED it. She's not my gf or anything, just someone I care about. Just do a song that you like that you know sounds good.

chantalogy Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 well. U said she was a girl you like. but u're afraid that it's a little too much if you were to sing her a birthday song. are u planning to tell her u like her? or u just like her as a friend?
