Lizzie60 Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 He was here today and he wanted to show me some stuff in one of his email.. So I opened hotmail.. then he told me his account, I was typing it.. and told me his password.. I just opened my hotmail account and his email is still there.. now that I know his password.. I can access to his account.. I just looked and there is one email from his mom.. and a few other messages.. How can I get rid of it.. it stays in my hotmail page... this is how he trusts me..
herbruisedheart Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Oh gosh, that's a tough one. I'm a VERY nosy person, so I would look at the emails if I had my MM's password when we were together. However, from experience (not with MM, but with boyfriends), you'll usually end up finding stuff that upsets you, so it's better to just forget about it. Delete the password (assuming you don't have it memorized) and resist the temptation to log in to read his stuff. Easier said than done, of course.
2sunny Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 tell him to change the password now that he's given it out. that it's not right for someone else to have it... is this the young guy with the baby on the way?

I don't think I will find anything that would upset me.. he's just starting to get used to the Internet..

The thing is that he is very computer illiterate.. he just got a computer at home.. what he knows he learned from his gf.. I'm sure he has no clue how to change the password.. as it is his gf's name.. so she probably set up the account for him.. plus I'm sure he rarely goes on the Internet.. except to check for 'machinery' for his business.. He already has the baby.. he'll be 2 months next week..

noforgiveness Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 The man is young and is computer illiterate? Sounds like a real winner.
Enema Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Do you use Firefox or IE? Are you saying that it keeps you logged into his email account when you go to hotmail? Just clear your cache/cookies and it should go away. If it's the password that's sticking around, you can delete it through the passwords manager in your browser. Again, depends what browser you use for instructions.
whichwayisup Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 There's an option that says save password. Unclick that. And, make sure the option is unclicked as well. (Sign in with different account.) If that doesn't work, then use the help option and contact hotmail, maybe they can help.
LakesideDream Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Shame on you Lizzy ! The youngun's think they have all the answers before they even know the questions. You are supposed to be a mentor, and bring them along gently. Bad Lizzy, bad, bad, (rustling a rolled up newspaper).
whichwayisup Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I don't think I will find anything that would upset me.. Wait, you're actually reading his emails?
blueberry Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 How can I get rid of it.. it stays in my hotmail page... this is how he trusts me.. That's very nice! BUT, hate to play devils advocate, it's not difficult to have several email accounts eh.. My husband had 3, and a couple of secret SIM cards too! Don't mean to rain on your parade but it's not rocket science eh....
Lishy Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Lizzie you are a bad bad girl lol I would read the mails - I know I know but I am just being honest!!
Owl Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Lizzie, what could he possibly ever have in there that COULD hurt you? Its not like you're trying to win him from his wife or anything. Even if you found out he was seeing someone else...what would that matter to you? I'm not sure what the value in reading this stuff would even be for you...there's no deep emotional investment or attachment from what I understand...what could you possibly at all by seeing his email?
