Lots of people post under "casual encounters". Looking for NSA situation. Anyone know of any scams/games I should watch out for?

I'm sure good connections can be made by like minded people, I'd just like to make sure I don't fall for any tricks. Thanks for advice!

PS: To be clear I'm not talking about the Erotic listings for hookers.

lots of scams like a cross dress might contact you, A fat women, or some one wants you to join some porno site to talk to them

Not only that, you won't have a 100% certainty that you'll be seeing the girl in the picture. It's easier to just go and game women around you.

I wouldn't join their porn site, thats an easy scam to spot.

I would exchange a couple of emails clarifying whar we each want as far as height, weight etc. Then exchange pics, then talk on phone to sort of verify it's a real female. Then I guess meet in a public place.

Player; maybe it's better to approach the women around you, but the web seems more efficient somehow.

Am I forgetting anything, does it sound reasonable?

If they post their name in the ad its like a 99% chance of it being a scam.

I think to rely on Craigslist would be foolish and that yes you should approach the women around you. And if posting on the web looking for girls is going to stop you or take away from your motivation to engage women in person then you shouldnt do it.

But if putting adds and responding to adds on craiglist is something your doing in your spare time in addition to going out to social functions like parties and where ever else you meet women then yes it can only add to your efficiancy.

That is the idea, I'm hoping for tips from people that have dated via craigslist.

I met my last gf on craigslist. It was a very rare hookup I think. Usually not much of substance on that site. The relationship was interesting, a bit tumultuous but not without its benefits.;)

Good that you found some benifits there. Did you have to sort plenty of false leads to find a real person. So far my only response was from someone wanting me to join a website:mad:

Oh and scam that doesn't involve money would be a girl who is really a guy hmmm so ask for pictures and be really critical of them a myspace link would be best

Before we get too cynical here, there are some options. You do have a small though not miniscule chance of making things work on craigslist. My suggestion is to be completely open and honest about yourself and what you expect in others, even more so than in any place you have ever been. This is a great way to avoid Craigslist's "scams". The "bad" people on craigslist can be easily scared off by being as real as you can. That said you still may get "trick" responses. You have to not be "desperate" and to read the "warning signs" before opening any and every message.

Trying putting your interests down in a safe, secure way. A real responder will respond to your interests with their own interests. A "scam" is not going to tell you that they like reading romantic literature, their favorite country to visit is brazil, and they like rock climbing. "fake" ads and scams will only try and "con" you by appealing to your sexual needs only. Just go about iit all thinking with the "right" brain, if you know what I mean.

That said you still probably won't find Mr. or Mrs. forever, but maybe you will find a friend with benefits that can get you through a tough period in your life. You have nothing to lose, but as with anything in life you must be real careful.

Regards,

D.

That's a good way of looking at it. You can find losers or good people at a bar, on the internet, at a baseball game...and so on. You might find a dateable girl on craigslist. Give it a shot. I really don't think there are any more creepy people on craigslist then there would be at a bar. I could be wrong but I don't think I am.

Perhaps you could try the "normal" Wfor M date section. It may not say "casual" but you might find casual is doable for many posters.

It does have more traffic.

I take that back. I just visited C-list and should say the "normal" WforM section has slightly more traffic.
