Brady_to_Moss Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Why cant the girl make a move! Were shy too! lol
Isolde Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Because girls are scared of rejection too. It goes around in circles, you know.
tanbark813 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Guys don't have to but girls usually won't so hike up your sack and make that shyt happen.
fral945 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Unless you're tall, dark, handsome, rich, and famous, it's unlikely they will come to you. Even then you're asking a lot. The average women isn't going to do the initial work. Suck it up and start asking. Trust me, you won't be rejected every time.
carhill Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 OP, the key is not liking someone too much before you ask. If you have issues with rejection, you'll get brain lock. Ask someone for whom you have a passing interest or who might catch your eye. I can identify 3 such women yesterday during my flying fun to and from Atlanta whom I might have "asked out". Of course, it was a passing thought since I'm married, but the process is there. Don't invest too much before asking, so rejection won't hurt as much. That's my .02 as someone who fought brain-lock for years
westernxer Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Sometimes I think it would be nice if women made the first move, but deep down I would probably find it disturbing. Maybe it's social conditioning or biological imperative, but I like having the initiative, that way I can choose to do nothing if I feel so inclined.
flc Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Work on your self confidence, have the attitude that if they decline they are missing out. Having control and choosing who you want to go out with is a good thing, why give that up.
Krajt Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I blame Guinness for this, they used to have an ad that said "he who dares" ultimately wins a pint of Guinness, it was a Hurling advert (Irish sport) and now they are telling people "Good things come to those who wait". My fathers generation approached dating with the he who dares attitude and now many young whipper snappers are approaching dating with "Good things come to those who wait" attitude and because women already occupy this position of the Guinness spectrum, it doesn't work. So my friend he who dares usually wins and if he doesn't, then down a pint of Guinness (if you're man enough).
