Author wayfaerer1 Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 hah thanks man, Yeah I've been trying to stay busy, like I said before, I saw my ex's facebook profile and that pretty much sent me spiraling down again, so I started watching Swingers to try and relate and laugh a little. Still keeping the no contact thing going, minus the text message she sent me yesterday, but I haven't talked to her in 2 weeks. I still wonder what she's doing, but I'll bet she wonders too. I think she's finally got the message that I really don't want to talk to her anymore. Anyway, yeah I love this scene...Pretty much how I feel, "If I'm such a great guy, as everyone tells me, then why won't she change her mind?" Good stuff here.

I mean, I don't have Vince Vaughan's looks and what not, and I can't see myself fishing for women at the bar, but at least you can relate to the story and what that guy is going through.

I told a girl the other day that I liked her purse! LOL Just say anything like, I like your X (pretty eyes is overused, avoid). And when/if she says thanks, you can follow with 'what are you up to', hows it going, etc. Women like you to be interested in them and willing to listen, so just ask questions to get them talking about themselves, listen, and then you can kind of go from there. If she is not at all interested, youll know in about 0.004 seconds. Also, if you think you have no chance in hell of attracting them, you wont. Dont you see women all the time with guys that look like losers? Its because us MEN are more attracted to looks, women are more concerned with how you act (this is a generalization that is mostly true, not everyone is the same obviously). Dont take a few rejections too hard. Its all part of the game. Eventually, youll get better about starting a conversation and feeling people out. Worse thing that can happen is the girl says no, and that aint so bad. PS- you're money baby!

I used to love "High Fidelity" for how the character copes with such a bad breakup, but then i watched it again lately and remembered he gets back with his ex in the end.
