imemoi Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 hey people, i was browsing around the net and happen to stumble on to this site. people seem to know what they are talking about so heres my situation... i study abroad and live at a university student residence of mostly international students. i have been friends with this girl (also an international student, but from a completely different part of the world) for about 4months now and im falling for her. i dont know how she feels, but i think she only sees me as a friend. i always fall for the prettiest girls, so theres always the concern that shes way outta my league. and im not the greatest looking guy (although this may just have to do with self-confidence...or so i have been told) and shes gorgeous. we hang out quite a bit since we live in the same building, are in the same social circle. only in the last month or so have i really really....really started to like her. i can tell because i cannot get her out of my head and just want to spend as much time as i can with her. im usually very much in control of emotions and whatnot but lately im starting to lose it. i want to tell her how i feel but if she says no then how awkward would it be to hang out as friends...knowing how i really feel about her??? i'll still have to see her everyday. what should i do and how should i go about it..? thanks
Green Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 First off you should never let your feelings for some one you don't really know confuse you. You've built this all up in you mind. Shes just some girl and there are tons of other good looking girls just like her. Maybe if you did date her and get to know her you could start to legitemetly have these feelings but right now you've built a farce up in your head... Ok you should't go up to her with "I think I love you" or "I can't stop thinking about you" or " your really pretty lets date" ... DOnt do any of those things or anything like it... what you should do is invite her out for drinks and then just kiss her, or invite her to a drinking party and then just kiss her... if your to young to drink or against it or what ever then just flirt with her and kiss her and then be like "that was nice"... She's not out of your league you gotta stop hating on yourself... the only thing that would put her out of your league is your mindset... Oh and who cares if things are awkward if she turns you down... the worst case scenario isn't things being awkward its what your doing right now in love with some girl your to affraid to try anything with... thats HELL right there.. you have to risk losing a girl to get a girl... don't be afraid to flirt, touch, and kiss her... be agressive your the man, don't expect her to stroke your ego and try to kiss you or fall in love with you if you say something boring like "I really like you" Oh and I bet theres tons of other girls jsut as attractive all around you've put blinders on, Don't ever get all obsessed for a girl like this again... try something man....... be confident... be yourself.. you know the self you would be if you werent full of self doubt
Author imemoi Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 hmmm...okay i agree with a lot of what u said but i'll give some more info. not sure if this changes anything but heres it goes.. shes not some girl i dont know. we usually study together a couple of hours a day together. have lunch or dinner together (in a group of friends). i had an exam last week and she sent me at 1am to say goodluck...so she must have been thinking about me. we usually go out as a group for drinks and clubbing every fri/sat. there have been a few times where it was just her and me talking in my room late at night but i couldnt tell her how i felt or make a move.... i will say though the last 3-4lines of what KMT said were exactly what my buddy said. just needed to hear it from another person.. i'll tell her this friday/sat
