daterhater Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 i'm a shy, awkward girl. he's a shy, awkward guy. we kissed 5 years ago on a drunken new years eve night. our lives went separate ways after that. we didn't date or anything. i saw him a few times at concerts and it was awkward. i think because i always liked him and didn't think he liked me back. he just moved to the same city as me and we ran into eachother at a mutual friend's birthday party. after everyone left, we got a drink at the bar next door and talked. it was AGAIN so awkward. i think because we don't know where we stand with each other or why we couldn't connect after our kiss. i am a lot more straightforward as i'm older, but with him i act like that shy girl i was when i first kissed him 5 years ago. should i just be straightforward and say i always liked him or not bother? what would you do? is the awkwardness a sign we're not a good match?
Author daterhater Posted September 21, 2008 Author Posted September 21, 2008 shy guys--- is it a huge turn off when a girl comes right out and says she thinks you're cute and has always liked you?

In my experience, shy guys actually like it since it gives them an ego boost and signals that this girl is going to be fun to be with and probably won't expect to sit back and rely on them to take the lead in everyhting and make all the decisions.

djhall Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 i wonder if shy and shy even works! Maybe. I'd be prepared for a lot of, "Where do you want to eat?" "Well, what do you feel like?" "That depends, what are you in the mood for?" "I could go for just about anything, what sounds good to you?" and on, and on, and on...
