I was never very good with dating and I've come to a point where I doubt my perception of things. Anyway, I met a guy in college a couple of years ago. We got along pretty well and I was under the impression he liked me. However, I tend to be shy and I think he may have been turned off by my lack of enthusiasm. We ended up losing touch. Well, he called me last Thursday out of the blue and suggested we go out for a drink so we can "discuss". I read on this forum that dinner is clearly a date but how about drinks? We are supposed to meet after work so I guess we might end up grabbing a bite as well. What do you think he has in mind?

Going for drinks after work is a less pressure oriented date -- and you're right, if all goes smooth then he'll crank it up to getting something to eat as well. If things don't go smooth when 2 people go for drinks then it's easier to bail after a drink or two, fyi. Good for you sensitivegirl!
