Touche Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Our son is attending a baby shower tonight. I was invited but I declined. It made me pull out my baby book though. The one I started for our son. I'll share my baby book if any of you want me to. Just let me know how old your child is and I'll post what I've written from that same time.
Author Touche Posted September 21, 2008 Author Posted September 21, 2008 lonelyandfrustrated, I'm embarrassed to admit that I stoped journaling when our son was 3. He's 12 now. He's extremely outgoing. He has a mind of his own. He's very popular. He's not much of a student unfortunately. We're pushing him though in that direction. He's very smart just not motivated. He's funny and gets along with people of all ages. He's funny...a real joker. He's not like anyone I've ever ever known. Extremely smart and funny and sociable. Unfortunately, he's lazy and not studious. He has a soft side to him. He's very sensitive to other kids. He always stands up to the underdogs. I'm most proud of that. I think that his sensitivity as far as other kids are concerned, is more important to us than his grades are. Like I said, he's not the greatest student but he's a very sensitive kid. He's got a strong sense of what is right and wrong. That means a lot to me. I think he will go far in life. He's well liked by people of all ages.
Author Touche Posted September 21, 2008 Author Posted September 21, 2008 Ok, here is what I have (in part) for our son at 3 years: "I thought for a long time that you'd never talk. You love pre-school, popcorn, wrestling and monkeying around. You're such a happy little boy. Right now your favorite toy to play with is a sword. " "You know your colors, ABC's and can count to 11 or 12. You can spell your name and count to 10 in Spanish. You can undress yourself and are pretty much completely toilet trained. You still wear a diaper at night thought. You can ride your bike and even perform "stunts" on it." "You've been asking for a 'big boy bike' - the kind with training wheels. You make friends very easily and seem to be very popular with other kids. Not shy like I was.
jerbear Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 I'm my own child, 30 something. Can I use my friend's kids? under 1, 3, 5, 15, 18, 23.
Kenyth Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 My son is almost three and a half. He's the cutest thing in the world. I really love little children. I'm already missing the baby and toddler years a lot. I don't know if we'll be having another. We're approaching our 40's, so we still have a little time to decide.
