NativeMetalGrl Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Well, I didn't really know where else to put this, so let me know if I'm in the wrong category. I am moving back to my hometown in about 6 months and I've met someone from there online. He's really great and we txt back and forth all day sometimes. we don't talk on the phone much since both of our cell plans have limited minutes and whenever we do talk, we end up on the phone for 3 or 4 hours at a time. We both like each other very much and want to hang out when I get back, which would be fine, but the bond between us is getting stronger every day. While it's exciting, I'm still cautious since we still have yet to meet in person. While things were pretty intense between us for the first few weeks, they're starting to level out and it feels like it's turning into a relationship. We talk like we've known each other for years and it feels like we're already a couple. We've both agreed not to commit to one another until we meet in person, so while no relationship is promised, I think we both know where it's going. My question is, since it will be so long until I get to see him, how should we proceed? The cyber-intimacy thing gets frustrating not only cause I feel like a total dork texting him stuff like that, but because I'm more of an in-person kinda girl. How do we keep things from getting boring and possibly trailing off over the next 6 months? I don't want him to get bored/frustrated and lose interest. Also, what of the "honeymoon phase?" By the time we meet in person, we'll have known each other for 8 months! I'm afraid we won't get a chance to have a real, in-person honeymoon phase. Or even worse, he or I could be hooked up with someone else by that time. I don't expect him to wait for me and I've told him that. I, on the other hand, have no choice but to wait for him as it would be pointless to involve myself with anyone here. what's a girl to do? Sorry this post is so freakin' long
