DireWolf Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Just for background, i'm a 20 year old guy in my 2nd year of college. I was sitting in a seminar a few days ago in a classroom when I noticed this girl looking at me. She was a row ahead and like 7 seats off to the right, so she kind of had to turn her head over her shoulder a bit to do it. I made eye contact with her for a second or two then looked away before she did, not really knowing what was going on. In retrospect I probably should have smiled or something, but oh well. I had to leave before it was over so there wasn't a chance to talk to her at that point, and I haven't ran into her since. It was a one time deal, not a weekly class. I was in a class with her last semester, but it was large and we never talked. Anyways, is it presumptuous to think there was anything more to it than just coincidence? I realize i'm asking you to speculate a huge deal, but any best guesses from life experience would be appreciated.

It could be one of many things... she's interested, she was looking at her friend in the row behind you, or it was just a pure coincidence. You were there, so take your pick as to what it may have been. It's likely too late with this woman, so why not boost your ego and go with the choice that she was interested so that next time you find yourself in this situation you will know to smile back right away rather than look away.
